The Councillors and Staff at Bishop’s Castle Town Council are deeply saddened at the news of the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, who peacefully passed away on Thursday 8th September 2022.
The Mayor, Josh Dickin said: “I would like to express my sincere condolences to the Royal Family. The Queen was our longest reigning monarch. Truly one of the most loyal monarch who gave her upmost to serve this great country.
There will be books of condolence available from today at both The Town Hall and St John the Baptist’s Church
The Town Hall is open from 10 AM until 4 PM. Monday to Saturday.
The Church is open daily from 9AM, a place to to reflect and light a candle in respect of Her Majesty.
As a mark of respect, The Town Hall flag has been lowered to half-mast. As well as the flag at St John’s.
Floral tributes may be laid in front of The Towns War Memorial, outside St John the Baptist.
